I am Andre Davis, a poet born in St.Paul Minnesota, but raised in St.louis Missouri. I graduated from Drake University with a bachelors in Law, Politics, and Society.
I began writing poetry my freshmen year of high school. Growing up I had trouble finding ways to express myself, until one night there was a huge storm outside my house. For some odd reason I began to cry, years of built up emotions had finally come out into a deep confession about the pain I was feeling all along.
Later I would write those pains down into a poem titled "A part of you". Ever since that night, I have written poetry as a way to be a storm for others and to inspire them to release themselves from the pains burdening them as well.
